Representative David Paul Linsky, 47, is currently serving his fourth term in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He represents the Fifth Middlesex District, which consists of the towns of Natick, Sherborn and Millis.
Representative Linsky is a life-long Natick resident, a graduate of Natick public schools, Colby College, Boston College Law School and the National College of District Attorneys Career Prosecutor School. He is a member of the Massachusetts and the Federal Bar.
Prior to his election in 1999, Representative Linsky served as an Assistant District Attorney for Middlesex County for fourteen years where he successfully prosecuted over one thousand criminal cases, including murder, sexual assault, gun violence, narcotics trafficking, child abuse and white collar crime. He has also worked at several Boston law firms and currently practices law in Natick.
In the Legislature, he is the House Chairman of the MetroWest Caucus and serves on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, as well as the Joint Committee on Transportation and the Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight. He has also served on the Judiciary, Criminal Justice and Natural Resources Committees, and has served on special committees dealing with public schools, local aid and the environment. He has been the author of numerous bills designed to modernize and reform our criminal justice system. He is a founding member of the House Democratic Council, a group dedicated to reforming state government. He has been an outspoken and successful advocate for public education, human services, civil rights and women's rights. He has been honored for his work in all of these areas.
Representative Linsky is married to Lois Linsky. They have three young sons. Representative Linsky is also an active member of the Wilson Middle School and Bennett-Hemenway Elementary School PTOs, the Natick Education Foundation and the Massachusetts Audubon Society. He also coaches youth baseball and basketball.
